Marcus, one of the founding partners of Lexstone Lawyers Group and a director of Lexstone Limited, specialises in banking and finance, the establishment and maintenance of investment funds, corporate and commercial, acquisitions and mergers, trusts and foundations. He regularly advises trust companies, fund administrators, tax boutiques and private clients.

Marcus is a Jersey Advocate with approximately twenty five years’ legal experience. He is also a member of the Law Society of Jersey and is an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars of the Centre for International Legal Studies, Austria.

Marcus originally qualified as a Jersey Advocate at Crills Advocates (now Walkers), having previously worked at Ogier. He left Crills Advocates after being approached by Ozannes to set up its Jersey legal practice in June 2006. Ozannes grew from one principal to four partners and over twenty employees before the subsequent merger with Mourant in June 2010. From June 2010 to November 2011, he was a partner in both the funds and corporate and finance teams of Mourant Ozannes, advising on investment funds, securitisation, banking and security, general corporate law and private wealth. He established the Jersey legal practice of Hatstone Lawyers in 2011.

Publications include the Jersey chapter of “The International Comparative Legal Guide to Corporate Recovery and Insolvency 2011” (2011); the Jersey chapter of “Multinational Enterprise Liability in Insolvency Proceedings” (2010); the Channel Islands chapter of “Real Estate Finance – Law, Regulation & Practice” (2008); and the Jersey chapter of “International Insurance Regulation” (2002).

Marcus currently holds various directorships in respect of Jersey, Guernsey and BVI companies. He was a director of the Channel Islands Securities Exchange Limited.

Lucy is one of the founding partners of Lexstone Lawyers Group and a director of Lexstone Limited. Lucy specialises in corporate and commercial, private wealth, trust law and banking and finance. She also has a particular interest in Jersey foundations and charities law, both in Jersey and England and Wales. Lucy advises a wide range of trust companies, global banks, private clients and family offices. She also works closely with top law firms in London and other intermediaries and service providers.

Lucy studied law at the University of Exeter and completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London before qualifying in London. Lucy previously worked at CMS Cameron McKenna and Lee Bolton Monier-Williams in London before moving to Jersey in 2012. She worked for Hatstone Lawyers as a managing associate prior to establishing Lexstone Lawyers with Marcus Stone in December 2015.

Agnieszka joined Lextsone Lawyers in December 2015 having worked with Lucy and Marcus at Hatstone Lawyers. She specialises in corporate and commercial, corporate finance, acquisitions and mergers and the establishment and maintenance of investment funds. She has particular experience in intellectual property law. She regularly advises international corporate executives and entrepreneurs on structuring transactions and raising funds in the capital markets.

Agnieszka is a Polish qualified lawyer with over ten years’ experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.

She qualified as an English solicitor in 2017.

Agnieszka graduated from the University of Wroclaw in 1999 and went on to study for postgraduate diplomas in Commercial Law (2004), European Union and Trade Law (2004), Intellectual Property Law (2005) and Investment Law (2008). She also holds a certificate in English and European Union Law issued by the University of Cambridge.

Agnieszka, originally from Poland, moved to Jersey in 2012. Prior to joining Lexstone Lawyers she worked for a leading Polish law firm where she primarily practiced commercial and intellectual property law and subsequently for a top US law firm in London. She was previously employed by one of the biggest European publishing houses, where she principally advised on copyright law. She regularly delivered presentations on copyright and trademark matters to her corporate clients.

Anna is a Polish qualified attorney-at-law, who graduated from the University of Wroclaw in 1999.

Anna has more than ten years’ experience in advising both corporate clients and private individuals including corporate executives and entrepreneurs.

Her main practice areas encompass employment, litigation, regulatory (compliance) and commercial law, although her colleagues claim that she has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Polish law as a whole.

Prior to joining the firm as a Group Partner, she was a senior attorney-at-law at another law firm. As an attorney-at-law, who has worked in-house at a leading publisher and a major outsourcing company, she has a strong appreciation of clients’ commercial needs and is able to provide practical advice with a high degree of commercial acumen.

Norman is an English solicitor and joined Lexstone Lawyers in 2018 as a consultant. 

He advises banks, lenders, corporate service providers, borrowers,  family offices and private clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial and banking matters which are typically cross jurisdictional in nature.

Norman loves working with early- stage ventures and founders helping them to set a solid foundation upon which to grow their business. He also has a growing number of HNW clients who call upon his integrity and discretion in providing no-nonsense pragmatic advice.

Howard has over 22 years' experience in all areas of offshore capital markets, general corporate and banking transactions, and investment funds.

Howard's client base includes many leading financial institutions, arrangers, intermediaries, and corporate clients. During his career, Howard has been very fortunate to act on many high-profile transactions structured through Jersey, such as, the first securitisation buy-out completed in France, film financing transactions for a leading global mass media and entertainment conglomerate and real estate transactions involving the redevelopment of historical landmarks and the acquisition of household retail units in London.

Howard prides himself on establishing, building, and maintaining close client relationships. Focusing on each client's bespoke needs at all times and providing clear, prompt and ‘to the point' advice.

Howard has both English and French law qualifications. His fluent French has enabled him to become a prominent contact for many French corporates, financial institutions, and French speaking jurisdictions.

Howard is a keen triathlete and when not occupied taxiing his children around is busy chasing his Kona dream!

In 1980, Peter started working in Jersey property law with Le Masurier, Giffard & Poch, which firm in February, 1995, merged with Ogier & Le Cornu to form the firm now known as Ogier.

Peter’s initial introduction to Jersey property law was to train and work as a conveyancing clerk (predominantly doing residential conveyancing) which involved learning the essential skills of checking title, conducting site visits and drafting conveyancing contracts.

In 1985, Peter qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey and in 1987, became a partner at Le Masurier, Giffard & Poch retiring as a partner of Ogier in February, 2013, prior a spell living in the UK. During his years as a partner whilst remaining involved in residential conveyancing he predominantly undertook commercial property law work.

Since 2013, Peter has done some property law consultancy work for various local law firms. Now again living in the island on a permanent basis he forms an essential part of Lexstone Lawyers’ Property Law Team and looks forward to the prospect of being very actively involved again in both residential and commercial property law work in the island.

Peter also hopes that he can contribute towards the reform of the island’s system of registering title to properties in the island which is coming under severe pressure as a result of the island’s chronic lack of skilled and experienced conveyancing practitioners.

Claudia joined Lexstone Lawyers in January 2016. Claudia assists the team with all aspects of commercial, private wealth and funds work and has a particular interest in Panamanian foundations, trusts and corporate structures in Latin America. She also specialises in international environmental law.

Claudia was admitted to the bar of the Republic of Panama in 1995. She has over twenty years’ experience advising clients such as the United Nations, the European Union, IUCN, USAID, TNC, Nestle, Coca Cola, GDF Suez, AES and Bavaria Group.

Claudia read law and political science at the Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama. She has an LLM from the University of Nottingham and also has a degree from the University of Antonio Machado (Spain) in Management and Conservation of Endangered Species.

Claudia obtained in 2017 a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from BPP University, Law School.

Zana became a consultant to Lexstone Lawyers in 2016. Her specialisms include corporate and commercial, corporate restructuring, corporate finance, and private wealth.  

Zana is an English solicitor with ten years’ post-qualification experience. She previously worked for Ogier in Jersey where she worked on several high profile corporate finance transactions. She subsequently left Ogier to join a City firm before joining a corporate advisory business.

She speaks English, Russian, Serbo-Croat and Spanish.

Jon is a dynamic legal consultant specialising in immigration and business law. He offers a comprehensive approach to legal challenges, ensuring that clients receive bespoke solutions to their unique needs.

With a strong background in UK business and management, Jon provides a fresh perspective on legal issues, allowing him to identify innovative strategies for his clients. His services include writing legal opinions, advice, guidance, teaching and training on various legal topics.

Jon's diverse clientele includes startups, established SMEs, corporations, law firms, and individual clients. This wide-ranging experience enables him to deliver personalised attention and effective solutions.

Jon holds a Master's degree in Law (LLM) from Liverpool University.

Shaun has worked in Jersey conveyancing and property law since the summer of 1982.

He has performed in numerous local law firms over the decades gaining huge experience in both residential and commercial property matters.

Shaun has been appointed by the Royal Court of Jersey as a local property expert in matters of dispute before the court.

Shaun’s well-established reputation is based on a sensible and efficient approach using both common sense and commerciality.

Luna joined Lexstone Lawyers as a legal assistant and is now completing her solicitor training with the firm. She works with senior fee earners across all areas of practice and has a keen interest in building relationships and helping clients achieve their commercial aims from a legal perspective.

Having lived and worked in Chile, Jersey and the UK, Luna is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has experience in the banking, human rights, retail and hospitality sectors.

Luna completed her undergraduate degree in law at the University of Exeter and her LPC at the University of Law.

Michal joined Lexstone Lawyers in 2020 as a legal assistant, and he is studying to be both an English solicitor and a Jersey Advocate.

Michal works closely with senior fee earners in commercial law, real estate, and dispute resolution by preparing and reviewing documentation, legal research, and due diligence.

Having been raised in Jersey and born in Poland, Michal is fluently bilingual in English and Polish and has a working knowledge of French. Michal has an academic interest in directors’ duties and the effect of the climate emergency on such duties, having completed a dissertation on this subject. He has also contributed several articles to the leading legal news website LegalCheek.

Sara joined Lexstone Lawyers in September 2022 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Law with the Institute of Law in Jersey. She is looking to qualify as an England and Wales solicitor in September 2024 by passing both stages of the Solicitor's Qualifying Exams (SQE) and completing the two years of qualifying work experience required.

Sara supports senior fee earners across a range of practice areas, predominantly in corporate, commercial, banking, real estate, and private client matters.

Born in Madeira, before moving to Jersey in 2016, Sara lived in Lisbon and completed her undergraduate degree in Leiria, Portugal. She speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently.
